During the second semester of the Master Programme “Technology and Resources Management in the Tropics and
Subtropics” (TERMA) at the Institute for Technology and Resources
Management in the Tropics and Subtropics (ITT) at Cologne University of Applied Sciences, we plan and work out a team project in the frame of the international cooperation, which was arranged under the frame work of AFGEI initiative (Afghan-French-German Energy Initiative). The partnership created between the Government of Afghanistan and the Cologne University of Applied Science in 2008 agreed on a common reasearch in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency. The aim of the initiative is to support the Government of Afghanistan with the elaboration of a long term sustainable development policy, which addresses a rural energy concept. For us it represents an interesting challenge,
which is fulfilled through the vast knowledge gained in the previous
academic career of the students as well as the study of appropriate technologies and their economic, social
and ecological effects. |
 During the teamwork of this intercultural group inter- and intrapersonal qualifications such as communication skills as well as methodological and social competence will be developed. |
